Joanna Koltan

Joanna Koltan is a CEO and Founder based at RE/MAX Matosinhos in Matosinhos, Portugal. She began her career in Poland, where she earned a Master’s degree in Philosophy and Psychology of Communication, before relocating to Portugal over two decades ago. She joined RE/MAX 21 years ago, accumulating 21 years of experience with the company.

In 2011, Koltan founded her first brokerage. Today, she owns and leads three brokerages with over 80 agents. Her offices have been awarded Brokerage of the Year for 12 consecutive years, recognized as the number one agency in sales volume in Porto for 11 consecutive years, and positioned in the Top 30 RE/MAX brokerages in Europe. Individually, she has received the Executive Award as a real estate consultant and was recognized as the 2nd Best in the World in franchising in 2011.

Beyond brokerage leadership, Koltan serves as a mentor for RE/MAX International and RE/MAX Europe, training professionals across more than 20 countries. She is the co-founder of REAL – RE/MAX Empowers Ambitious Ladies, and she launched CIPU, a real estate platform that has provided shelter to more than 5,000 Ukrainian refugees in Portugal.
